Carbura privacy policy

Carbura has no user accounts. The app queries a server of ours to obtain stations, prices, maps and routes. The data that leaves your device is the coordinates needed to answer your queries and the usual technical information of any connection (IP address). All calls to third-party services go through our server, so those services never see your IP address.
1. Data controller
The controller for the app and this website is DIODE LOGIC SL, Spanish tax ID (NIF) B22434658, Avenida de Manoteras 24, planta 2, 28050 Madrid, Spain. Contact: support@diodelogic.com.
2. Data stored on your device
When you use the app, the following is saved on your device and nowhere else. We cannot see, access or recover it.
- Your preferences: selected fuel, service filters, your vehicle data to estimate fill-up cost and favourite stations.

- Optional. Only if you enable it, to centre the map and compute the nearest stations.
4. Third-party services
The external services involved, and with which data, are these:
- Our server (Carbura API)
- Receives the app’s queries: visible map area, coordinates for “near me”, routes and place searches. Server access logs contain the IP address and date of every request and are kept for a limited period for security and operations. We build no profiles and do not link queries to people.
- OpenFreeMap (map tiles)
- Maps are served through our server. The tile provider sees our server’s IP, not yours.
- OpenStreetMap-based routing and search services
- Route calculation and place search are forwarded to public services of the OpenStreetMap community through our server. They receive the coordinates or the search text, but not your IP address or any identifier.
- Your device’s maps app
- The “Directions” button opens the maps app installed on your device with the station address. From there, that app’s privacy policy applies.
6. Retention and deletion
Preferences are removed when you uninstall the app or from its settings. Server access logs are deleted automatically after the retention period. To exercise your rights over any data, write to support@diodelogic.com.
7. Your rights
Under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018, you can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to support@diodelogic.com. Since the app’s data is stored on your device, in practice you exercise them directly from the app. You can also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).
8. Children
Carbura is not directed at children under 14 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the app’s third-party services, please contact us.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, for example because a new feature uses a new service, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date. Relevant changes will also be announced inside the app.
