Densatum privacy policy

Densatum works only with the files you open or create on your Mac. It has no accounts, sends no telemetry and includes no ads or analytics. Its only internet connection is the check for new versions.
1. Data controller
The controller for the app and this website is DIODE LOGIC SL, Spanish tax ID (NIF) B22434658, Avenida de Manoteras 24, planta 2, 28050 Madrid, Spain. Contact: support@diodelogic.com.
2. Data stored on your device
When you use the app, the following is saved on your device and nowhere else. We cannot see, access or recover it.
- Your preferences (theme, default format and compression level, conflict behaviour).
- Temporary preview files, deleted when you close the archive or the app.
- A local diagnostic log of the app itself, which you can delete at any time.
3. Permissions and device features
- File access
- Only to the files and folders you open, drag or pick in the system dialogs, and to the destination folder you choose when extracting.
- Finder extension
- The context-menu actions are registered as macOS Services and only act on the items you select.
4. Third-party services
The external services involved, and with which data, are these:
- None
- Densatum integrates no third-party services.
5. Network connections
To check for a new version, the app downloads a small text file from densatum.diodelogic.com. The request includes no data about you or your files; the server records the IP address and app version in its access logs for a limited period. You can turn the check off in the app’s Preferences.
6. Retention and deletion
Remove the app and its preferences like any other macOS application. We hold no data about you.
7. Your rights
Under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018, you can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to support@diodelogic.com. Since the app’s data is stored on your device, in practice you exercise them directly from the app. You can also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).
8. Children
Densatum is not directed at children under 14 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the app’s third-party services, please contact us.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, for example because a new feature uses a new service, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date. Relevant changes will also be announced inside the app.
